Menstrual migraine help please - desperate

Just that really. I get extremely severe migraines in the 1-3 days before my period, during, my period and on the last day. I take triptans but it's pretty much a day in a dark room wishing for death. I have tried every preventative - beta blockers, pitzotifen, topiramate, magnesium, combined pill but hormones make me so ill and the others either don't work or worsen my existing clinical depression. Does anyone's know of anything else I can try?

I totally sympathise - it's awful. I know you said hormones make you ill but I was wondering if progesterone cream might help? I use progesterone cream for the last 10 days of my cycle and it seems to help. Takes a little while to work though. Couple of months maybe? What also helps is cutting out processed sugar. Hope you feel better soon.

Following. I am exactly the same and it is just awful. Afraid I have found no solution yet but interested in others responses.
