Sweating and hot flushes when eating. Menopause or something else?

Just that really. Recently whenever I start eating I start to feel hot, funny and break out into a sweat. It passes quite quickly but is bloody unpleasant at the time.
I'm 42, still breastfeeding DS (who's 3.5) and my periods haven't really returned so was wondering if it could be the start of the menopause. I'm not overweight (bmi 18.4), am predominantly vegan though do occasionally eat fish and don't eat anything sugary (apart from fruit). Just wondering if it's worth going to the GP about. Anyone had anything similar?

I have dysautonomia and frequently have hot flushes after eating because of it (after showering too is a big problem for me, cause of the temp change). I'm trying to find a good summing up page with info for you to read through, but can't find one atm!

There are other symptoms too though, is anything else not right that you might not have linked with it?

The wiki page for pots (a type of dysautonomia) does mention symptoms worsening after eating...

That's interesting.Just recovered from a month of awful dizziness and nausea which doc put down to vestibular neuritis following a virus. Hate going to the GP but it's really starting to bother me and I've started to dread mealtimes.

I also have IBS, tiredness and constantly wake through the night often needing to pee.
