I've just had my blood test results back and this is what the gp receptionist told me, so now I'm panicking a bit. What could be the the cause of the liver and kidney dysfunction? I had my gallbladder removed 9 months ago if that makes a difference? I don't really drink alcohol and don't take any medication

I'm 39 and about 4 stone overweight, have been trying hard to lose weight but it's been very slow to come off.

Chances are you're not so much borderline hypothyroid as actually hypothyroid and the liver and kidney results are off because of that. Both should go back to normal once you get on treatment for your thyroid. That should help your weight as well.

Get a print out of your results and post them on the ThyroidUK forum on www.healthunlocked.com and you'll get good advice,
