Sore bleeding bottom!

Help me pleeeaaaase!

I went on holiday nearly 2 weeks ago and started with some anal bleeding and soreness. I took senna and movicol (my ds is prescribed it!) and I thought it had improved.

Been away again this weekend and it's been horrid. Bleeding and sore and always stool there when wiping even if I haven't been iyswim?
Well I decided to look and it appears the skin is all cut and sore around the anus.

Wtf can I do or use to help it heal? I've spent most of today opening my bowels and I'm sure it isn't helping!

(Sorry for boring and tmi thread!)

Go to the doctors asap. Call 111 and they should be able to get you an out of hours appointment.

youarenotkiddingme · 28/08/2017 18:34

Surely it's not that serious?

Isn't there something I can do at home? I can call surgery first thing if I need to see GP.

Book an appointment at doctors surgery, get in with the nurse

You shouldn't be bleeding from your anus, so best get correct treatment

youarenotkiddingme · 28/08/2017 18:46

It's the skin around it rather than from it iyswim?

I may have been and maybe a bit still? I'll take some more stool softener overnight.

It's the actual skin around it that's bleeding - up to a cm away at points.

Vaseline sounds like a plan - I'll try that and a sanitary pad overnight and see if it helps - Thankyou

I would also suggest drinking plenty of water and herbal teas during the day - up to about 6pm

If you have been constipated the last thing you want is to be dehydrated so plenty of water will help

youarenotkiddingme · 28/08/2017 19:06

Thanks. I have been drinking loads but I've also been out walking miles in the sun the past 2 days!

I'll keep chucking it down my neck.

Don't have herbal teas but that's a great idea I hadn't thought of (are they actually nice or will I think I'm taking medicine?!).

I'll nip out and set some tomorrow if you have any recommendations?

Metanium nappy rash cream. Put on at night and it will feel so much better by morning!

youarenotkiddingme · 28/08/2017 19:44

Why didn't I think of that?

Unfortunately being a BH nothing is open but I'm on it first thing tomorrow!

It's probably a small fissure. You need to keep the stool super soft for about a week so it heals. You water, vegetables, fruits and basically fibre and lots of it. There are also specific creams you can buy from the chemist which can help a bit. If it doesn't sort itself out then you need to get Anoheal (think that is how it is spelt) from the doctor. But you still need to change your diet because it must be soft every time. Good luck.

HBSBeeches · 28/08/2017 21:05

You need water... etc! Sorry

LuluJakey1 · 28/08/2017 21:45

These are amazing for keeping you regular. If I am slightly constipated I chew half a one before bed. I have had a tear before and used pile ointment and made sure I was not constipated and it took a few weeks but it all healed up. I am super careful now.

Sorry- these
