Sharp persistent pain

I've got a persistent sharp pain at the left side of my back just at the bottom of my ribs. Have googled a diagnosis 😜 could be enlarged spleen or kidney stones (or nothing) the pain is only just bearable if I don't move and I will go to GP in the morning if the pain persists till tomorrow (it had been intermittent up until today) - any ideas on how to relieve this for the rest of today/'tonight ..

Iboprofen and paracetamol (yes you can take them together) and ice or heat (can never remember which does what) ... hope it goes away!

Try to keep well hydrated just in case it is kidney stones or an infection and take a pee sample with you when you see the doc! Are you peeing ok - and is your pee cloudy or smelly? Do you have a temperature?

Kidney stones on the move tend to make you roll around in pain, so if you're better keeping still it probably isn't that, though it could be a kidney infection.

Urine looks and smells OK, temp and pulse normal - I just generally feel unwell and have got a pain up the side of my face (that might be tension though). The original pain hasn't let up - I'll take the pain killers and see how that goes - thanks all
