He started complaining of a headache a couple of hours ago, but said he didn't want calpol so I left it.

About an hour ago he was crying and saying his head hurt so I gave him some calpol but he's just spent the last half an hour being sick 3 times.

I was sick last night and this morning but assumed it was cos i'd had a drink. I had no headache though.

Anyone else had this recently ??

I thought i was going to pass out with the headache i developed today. It started at the cinema and by the time we got to the restaurant for lunch i was feeling terrible. Went to bed at 1.30 and have just got up - only becaue i knew i needed to finalise my online shop. I had the terrible headache and felt, still do, really sick, but haven't been and my head is still sore but no where near as bad as it was. hope your DS is better

Sounds awful , hope you feel better soon to.

Ds has now fallen asleep in my bed so I'm going to have a quick bath incase I don't get chance later.

both my boys have had a sickness bug recently, could be that

MegJoshMum · 01/04/2007 21:33

My DS was off of school on Tuesday and Wednesday last week feeling sick ~ didn't actually be sick but looked very washed out and was very lethargic. My DD had a bad belly on Thurs night going to the toilet about 5 times in an hour, all day Friday andSaturday she was fine. We went out for a family meal Saturday night and she promptly threw up in the restaurant. She continued to be sick all the way home and through out the night. Has been fine all day today but has had very plain food and is fast asleep in bed now with a sick bowl besides her incase she feels she can't make the bathroom.
Hope your ds feels better soon.

Have they got any neck stiffness, rash or aversion to light?

babalon · 01/04/2007 22:27

I know there's loads of horrid bugs around at the moment BUT...

Your Ds hasn't hit his head on something at all has he????

lifesteeth · 01/04/2007 23:52

My son was crying, almost screaming with a headache a few days ago, I called the doctor who told me there is alot of it going around and just said to wait until the calpol kicked in, if he was still suffering in an hour to phone back but he seemed to get over it.

I have had a horrible pain in my head all weekend however and have felt really sick with it.

Please be on the lookout for symptoms of meningitis, and don't be reassured if the rash passes the tumbler test - mine did, was in hospital 12 hours later.
Don't intend to be the voice of panic but I've been watching this thread. Hope everyone is feeling much better soon.

NuttyMuffins · 02/04/2007 08:59

Morning, he seems alot better today.

He fell asleep in my bed and slept the whole way through until 7:30, with me poking him and lifting his top to check for a rash about every 5 minutes.

Anyway he wanted his cup of tea as soon as he woke up and after debating about it with him I gave in, I think somtimes you have to have what you fancy when you are ill. So he's drunk that and had some toast and so far so good. He said his headache has gone too.

I feel slightly better but my mouth is so dry I could drink a lake or something.
