How can I get rid of a sty?

I have a huge sty on my lower eye lid? Any good remedies?

I think you just have to wait for it to go, unfortunately. Try Optrex?

(Although old wives tale was to rub a gold wedding ring on it, I think!)

I don't have a gold wedding ring only platinum!! Hahah
I guess I will have to ride it out..

I read somewhere long ago that what you have to do is find the eyelash growing out of the stye and pick it out with tweezers and the stye will then purge itself. Been waiting to have a stye so I can try that. Hasn't happened yet though so I have no idea if it works.

Rub it with gold. Gold ring maybe?

Never mind. I just googled 'gold on a sty' in case I just invented that (being an old wife ) and it is a genuine old wives tale. And a load of crap apparently, so you don't have to look sadly at your platinum ring!

Boil some salted water, let it cool, pout into egg cup and douse eye with water.

*pour into egg cup. Not sure pouting into an egg cup would do much!
