Funny looking patch on leg (pic)

I've had this patch on my leg for 2 or 3 weeks now. No trauma or injury that I can recall that might have caused it. Just a patch of red speckling. Any ideas what it might be? Do you think I should get it checked out?

I'd get it checked it looks like scabies

Just to add there are no symptoms other than how it looks - no pain or itching.
