Physical stress symptoms

I'm under an unprecedented amount of stress right now on top of chronic anxiety/fight or flight.

I'm a veteran to anxiety. I know the usual mindfulness/exercise/sleep rigamarole but interested to know how others' stress comes through physically.

For me, at the moment, no doubt the list will develop;

Headaches / migraines
Diarrhoea
Insomnia
Tingling
Jaw clenching

Your headaches and jaw clenching are probably related!

It generally exacerbates all my physical illnesses.

I am really struggling with stress/anxiety just now. Jaw clenching, particularly at night, has been my biggest physical symptom, and has caused me a load of problems with my teeth - which is stressing me out even further! (I now have a retainer via the dentist to wear at night.) Other things - IBS, night terrors, palpitations. Have lost a lot of weight, but I think that's mainly due to the teeth situation.

Picklesandpies · 24/08/2017 22:51

I have benign muscle twitches and they get much worse when I am stressed. Also night sweats, palpitations and tiredness. Joyous!

chamenanged30 · 25/08/2017 07:24

Oh god yes palpitations, night terrors,hyperventilating
