I am going to do my op in Dec this year on my left hip, have seen the dr and its very obvious I have very limited rotation in that hip, and my left is about 2cm shorter and have suffered some muscle weakness

I am trying to exercise to gain muscle back in the leg and am wondering if or what level of exercise pre op can help with my recovery to make it faster etc

If you have already been given specific exercises for the arthritis they can be good.
I had a good recovery and could only do swimming pre op rather than weights or gym work - too little range of movement and strength.
If you can get to be at a good level of weight and fitness generally that can only be a good thing before the surgery.
Getting out of bed as soon as possible for short times and doing the post op exercises will help recovery be faster. Good luck.

I did aqua aerobics before & after, a gentle one, it was all I could manage really. Speak to a physio for specific exercises?
