Cystitis, blood in urine

I think I had a kidney infection
About ten years ago so I'm not used to this! I've only woken up needing extra wees and a burn when I wee today. Which is fine, I was going to sit it out and drink extra fluids etc, but there's fresh blood at the end of each wee when I wipe.

We did have sex last night which has possibly caused the cystitis so I wonder if it's a scratch? When I had my urine infection, blood only started coming a couple of days later and was darker.

I don't really want to see gp and take abs as we are ttc - or am I being stupid? Watch and wait?

Sounds like another kidney infection I'm afraid, taking a sample to the GP and get it dipped is the only way to find out and if you need antibiotics then take them.

Yes I'm going to call gp and ask if I can drop off a sample. I have spare bottles as used to have to for my son.

My god it definitely is, I'm hopping around and weeing blood and we'd only got back from dropping sample off and gp rang with prescription to pick up.

Oh yes it comes on very quick, im always surprised how bad it can get in such little time. I always know within 24 hours of having sex if I've got a UTI.

Well at least I know now!

I always pee after sex; as we are ttc I didn't Blush. That will teach me!

I now have green wee care of the anti biotics which has made for an interesting opk!

Thanks compo. Oh dear that doesn't sound right? Are you clear? Or antibiotics caused an upset? I hope you feel better soon.

Gp wants to see me in 2 weeks to double check blood I'm urine. It was so bad at one point it was almost a mild period. Eased off considerably now.

I did about 3 or 4 samples and took 3 short courses of abs but they kept saying the samples didn't show infection which there blatantly was you could tell just by looking at them. I thought I'd end up in hospital at one point when my kidneys were throbbing
Now if I don't drink gallons of water it hurts again and my wee is cloudy and smells awful. This has been going on for months... but apparently there's nothing wrong with me
