Do you want a short lifesaver one, or a full-on two-day course? (The St. John Ambulance two-day one is the one which has the best reputation.)

A good way to get an overview of everything that is available (and reputable) is to look at the list of course-providers (inc. St. John Ambulance) who are approved for the purposes of the Govt's childcare approval scheme, on the Sure Start website. (Website seems to be down for the moment, but I'll be back with a link when I can make it work!)

Right, here's the link to the relevant Sure Start page .

The St. John Ambulance course I mentioned is called "Early Years First Aid".

(If you follow the links from the Sure Start page to Red Cross, StJ Ambulance, etc., you will also find listings for shorter lifesaver courses too.)

Check your local adult education programme too, we've just got prospectus for the coming six months today and there's plenty there.

Thank you I will have a look now
