Waxy ears!

My ears wax up troublingly quickly, my dad had the same problem and got his ears irrigated at our gp surgery every 6 months. I could do with that service myself, but my surgery no longer does it, instead they suggest you go to the audiologist who charges 60 quid to do both ears.

I have seen machines which say they clear wax, one is a cheap piece or sh*t which doesn't work according to its reviews.

I am tempted to get this one though, but am worried that it will be harmful. Can anyone recommend a method - not olive oil which I have been doing to no avail for over 2 months! (I'll probably carry on with the oil though.)
