My ds (5) had molluscum until about 18 months ago. There was one on his face or so the doctor thought but when all the others cleared up this one has stayed which led me to believe it wasn't molluscum. Last week i noticed that instead of being flesh coloured as normal it's now red, ds says he picked it! It isn't bothering him so just wondered whether i should leave it alone and ask about it at his next hospital appointment (september) or whether it could be something to be worried about??

Is it irritating/hurting him at all?

My dd has a crop of molluscum at the moment, with some on her face. They redden up and go a bit nasty before finally clearing up altogether. In your place, I'd keep an eye on the spot and if it doesn't go away in a few days then I'd make an appt with the dr.
