Hiya,
5 months ago I had an operation to drain a perianal abscess which involved the 'hole' being left and it healing from the inside out. After a few weeks of checks, given the all clear.
Over the summer I've had a bit of pain with it, but I put it down to underwear seams rubbing on it and for some reason when my period is due.
It's occasionally leaked a little blood but yesterday it was really sore and today on further investigation, it seems like the wound has reopened slightly.
Is this common? I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor to get it checked but I'm a little scared they are going to want to redo the op 😰
