Anyone been through this? I tested abnormal and HPV positive last year and told just to see how it goes. Called back this year and same thing but higher grade. Have had the biopsy and histology have strongly recommended treatment.

All complicated by the fact I have a mirena coil which they cant see the strings of so everything to be done under general anastethic. Is it wrong to be absolutely terrified? I dont like anasteshia (spelling?) At all and this all seems very scary for under the age of 30.

Don't be terrified, don't worry Flowers

The standard line is that it can take 10 years for CIN cells to progress into actual cancer, so the likelihood is that everything will be absolutely fine. Having had an lletz using local anaesthetic I would rather have a general to be honest. I had my cells taken away and a good chunk off my cervix at 27, I've had a pregnancy with no issues and no dodgy cells on my cervix since. When are you having treatment?
