or will we get very strange looks? they haven't got dressing gowns (over-rated imho) or slippers. so it'll be shoes and cardis.

yes they can. why ever not. so what if you get funny looks anyway? is there a reason why they won;t be in day time clothes?

fannyannie · 29/03/2007 19:07

why should you get strange looks?

I frequently (ie every week) take the DS's over to run choir practice in their PJ's and shoes

skirmish · 29/03/2007 19:07

i see kids in pj's everywhere (fish and chips shops, supermarket etc), so, considering majority of people there will be in pj's, i don't think anyone would bat an eyelid, esp if they had shoes and cardies on, maybe it would just look like they had funky trousers!

DarrellRivers · 29/03/2007 19:07

sounds fine
they'll cheer everyone up i reckon

Taylormamaloveslindtbunnies · 29/03/2007 19:07

Does it matter if you get strange looks?

Guess it depends more on their ages, really, but I've been known to take mine places in their pyjamas.

(they don't have slippers or dressing gowns either)

babalon · 29/03/2007 19:09

Yeah it'll be fine. People usually have tunnel vision in hospitals anyway so won't even notice what they are wearing.

Hope your Dh is well soon

hatwoman · 29/03/2007 21:15

thanks all. in the end they went fully dressed. I realised it didn;t actually save any time - either they got ready for bed before we went to visit or after. still had to be done. dh is fine - he's had a fairly routine knee operation but it was still a bit grim seeing him post anaesthetic in his hospital nightie and all drugged up. he looked feeble even though he's not ill and only went into hospital this morning.
