does this sound like herpes?

First of all - DH has genital herpes. We have been very careful all of our married life (married 5 years.) He currently has a flare up, and while we've taken the same measures as usual, we are on holiday so towels might have become mixed up, or simply it was just starting when we had sex last week, but we didn't see it.

I have a lump - possibly an ingrown hair, I can't get a good enough look at it. It's on my right outer labia. The top of my leg round to my bum is extremely sensitive. I thought maybe sunburn, but it is not red or sore. It hurts to touch the skin very lightly - a pain feeling - like a nerve pain.

My bits feel like they are very bruised. All the way from my bum hole, across my vaginal lips to my urethra, everything feels bruised and bashed, even though it hasn't been bruised or bashed. When I go to the toilet, wee or poo, I feel like it's going to really hurt because of the bruised feeling, but when it comes out, it doesn't hurt as much as I expected.

Any thoughts?

I believe antivirals are very beneficial if taken during a first infection. Can you access a pharmacy / medic?

Possibly. I've had it for nearly 20 years now. When I get a flare up I get soreness & tingling as the blisters appear then it's incredibly sore when they are there, especially when weeing. They can pop up anywhere,on labia, around vaginal opening & around anus. TYpur first outbreak is usually the worst & you can feel ill with it too.
I take acyclovir at the first signs of it & that definitely helps,as then the full blown blisters don't come.
Get a mirror & try & look for any signs of redness or spots.
