Is this a UTI?

Hi all, I started to have odd pain in my symphysis pubis (or so I thought) 2 days ago as it hurts when I sit on the loo to pee. The only thing is that the pain starts before I've sat down and starts instead when I first start thinking about peeing/preparing to pee IYSWIM. I've never had a UTI before and am not sure if this is usual or not. I had thought it was a 'too much gym and gardening' injuryuntil yesterday! Any ideas?

Does it sting when you actually pee? Does your urine look or smell different? Are you going more often?

Do you really need to wee but nothing much comes out? Start drinking huge amounts of water to flush bacteria.

Thanks Capt and Mushroom. I ended up going to the Drs today and have trace ants of blood in pee (sign of infection apparently) Am now on anti-bs. Xx ps, it was 'yes' to all of your queries!
