itching ankles , feet and toes anyone know what it can be?

I have itching on the soles of my feel, toes, front of foot and ankles. Different areas at diffrent times. This happens mostly in the evenings and at night. Stops me sleeping and drives me mad.After itching has died down the area is very swollen. Anyone know what this is ?

Poor you, do you get any small vesicules on your feet that then burst and then form a scab? I have a form of eczema called phompholyx eczema which affects mostly the feet and hands. Then itching is driving me nuts...

thanks for your replys. There isn't any skin peeling scabs. It has started early today the itching has stopped and I am left with swollen toes. I can't even bend my toes. This is really wierd.
