This is so random really hope this is the right place happy to be corrected if not!!

For about 3/4 years now I have had a really manly toenail, have had it tested at docs at my first address and they tested for few different infections and all came back clear/negative. It is a really weird colour, rock hard (almost impossible to cut) hurts when I try and smells awful no matter how much I wash/scrub/scrape it!! ConfusedBlushI have a pic of a large bit I cut off but it is really gross so didn't wanna post first time! Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it might be/what it is?! Thank you in advance!Smile

Guessing it could be an infected ingrown toenail? Has that been suggested by podiatrist?

helpme25 · 11/08/2017 21:19

@naughtymutha how do you tell if it's ingrown? It is a little weirdly shaped but wouldn't describe it as ingrown? Have also tried a few over the counter treatments on it and nothing!!

You can google images but I think the nail curves into the edge of the toe and not necessarily visible from the top (but obviously I'm no expert). You need to see a specialist especially if it smells bad.
