Tmj? Ear pain

I have had ear/neck pain for about three months. A ent specialist couldn't find anything but said he thought tmj and will recommend I have a camera down throat and up nose to complete investigation. I just can't believe my ear would feel mildly blocked if it was tmj? I don't grind my teeth at night either.......it definitely fluctuates which is making me think it is stressed related?! Any one have tmj and tell me how it feels??

I get tmj. I occasionally get a locked jaw but generally get the worst ear pain and a feeling of tension in my jaw.
When I feel it starting up again I start my jaw exercises which generally help.
I did end up on high doses of meds once.

3 sessions of physio sorted my TMJ out!

Cranial Osteopathy is incredible for TMJ

and yes I would say stress related

Thanks fuzzyfozzy - my jaw has never locked - but I guess that doesn't mean I haven't got it. It does feel like tension. Physio sounds interesting too

I have TMJ and have never had a problem with ear ache. I do however suffer with cervical dystonia also known as torticolis. This and TMJ seem to be linked. Have a look at the dystonia website. It maybe early onset or not connected at all but worth a look.

Cranial osteopathy sounds like a good idea too - it's definitely worse when I think about it and am stressed. Just such an odd annoying feeling 😞
