I have rosacea on my face -- a spotty patch on my left cheek and a bit of redness around my t-zone and chin. It's generally not too bad, but occasionally the spotty patch on my left cheek has become very inflamed and sore and looks a bit like an acne outbreak.
Last time this happened, the doctor has prescribed me soolantra cream (a topical application you apply once a day), a fac ewash (that is actually an anti-dandruff shampoo?!) and a course of doxycycline antibiotics - this all seemed to clear it up quite well. I then got a single session of laser treatment - this was very expensive, but did seem to work.
It recently happened again, and I've picked up the cream, facewash and antibiotics and (as soon as it's winter) will book in for another laser treatment.
The issue is that I'm not so keen on taking antibiotics every time it flares up, and the laser treatment is expensive and temporary (over £200 per session, and it only lasts a few months).
Has anyone else had any luck using any other face products or natural treatments? Any help would be much appreciated!
