Is anyone else suffering more with the stormy weather? I thought my migraines were under control with amitriptyline and the daith piercing but the last couple of months I have relapsed badly.

Any advice?

Yes totally! I've started back on the same medication as you and it's eased them slightly. I'm trying a neck massage this morning to see if that helps! I feel your pain 😩

Hi Queen,

Yes, the summer is a real killer for me. I call it "Migraine Season". I can tell you an hour before a storm starts that there's one coming due to stabbing pains in my head. I should really go work for the MET office. :)

I can't really offer any advice, sadly. I stopped taking medications years ago. All i really do when a migraine starts is to have a strong coffee or coke if there's one handy (the caffeine apparently stretches the blood vessels and eases off pressure?) and go lie down for a while.

I will recommend the migraine clinic in Farringdron, London, though. It's run by a team of specialist Dr's and was a real godsend to me. At the time i went it was free and they accepted donations (i'd check this is still the case.)
