So just lying in bed and gave myself a check.

Left breast by my nipple 10p size lump that's hard and not sore. I will be making an appointment on Monday morning but I'm shitting myself.

My mum had breast cancer at 36 and my mum's aunt x2 have both died from breast cancer below 60. Also her cousin passed away aged 40.

I've just finished chemo for a molar pregnancy and I'm actually on my last week of annual leave before i go back to work. Shit

Flowers Try not to worry. 9/10 breast lumps are benign. Get a GP appt first thing on Mon morn and no doubt you'll be referred to the breast clinic on the two week referral system.

Stay away from Google - and remember it's most probably nothing to worry about.

FlowersCakeBrew I agree, stay firmly away from Google. Is there anything you can do this weekend that might take your mind of it?

If it is bc then treatment is very different from what it was. You will be seen really quickly. Your doctor will refer you to hospital and you will have a biopsy (bit odd but not hurty - I drove to work after mine). Then there will be a wait for results so don't get worked up now because there is no point - it may be two or three weeks until you know. Put it to one side.

This was me a year ago. Found huge hard lump. Went to pieces during the 2 week wait for breast clinic appointment. Ended up on diazepam Blush. Had mammogram and ultrasound. It was a harmless cyst. It took several months to disappear. Found another lump a couple of months ago. Another cyst. Hope all goes well for you. X

This was me a couple of months ago, saw GP referred under 2 week rule thingy. Seen at clinic, thought lump was small until the nurse drew the outline of it on my boob! Had mammogramme, seen by by the doctor, had an ultrasound which discovered a huge fluid filled cyst, had it drained under the ultrasound-was fascinating watching it go down as the gunk was drawn off. All well and good now. Was discovered I have lots of other cysts so just keeping an eye on me and my limply boobs for now. Good luck- try not to worry as most lumps turn out to be harmless cysts.

How did you get on with the GP?

PhDPepper · 08/08/2017 10:21
