Does this look like cellulitis? I've been diagnosed with singles and skin around it is very hot and sore. I'm going to out of hours later. Getting a bit worried. Thanks.

Don't know but it doesn't look good at all. Get it seen pronto! Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Seal. Going tonight at 8.30. I've had it covered so not sure if this is why the blisters look like that. Painful and itchy.

Draw around it so you can see if the redness spreads. I think you'll need antibiotics. Hope all goes ok.

Not sure but I had to go to OOH yesterday evening and came home with a cellulitis diagnosis - Red, swollen, vv painful, vvvv hot and blotchy.

No one will mind seeing you. Shingles is horrid you poor thing!

BarchesterFlowers · 04/08/2017 19:24

Oh yes, the doctor drew a big ring around it, 24 hours later it is much improved.

Mmfudgy · 04/08/2017 19:50

Barchester that's what it's like. Glad to hear you're improving. Did you just get it out of the blue?

Yes, I noticed it when I got into my car on the way home from work and thought I had been bitten. So hot and painful, instantly. By the time I phoned OOH at 10pm my upper arm was more than twice it's normal size and throbbing all the way down to my fingers.

I am on a course of steroids for my asthma and have a couple of blood things going on so I wanted it looking at. Much better today though.

Glad you are going.

Ouch Barchester that sounds really nasty. I've been and I've got a secondary bacterial infection on top so now on antibiotics. Good job I went. I've had to do a list of times of when to take both meds as it's complicated!
