Feeling nauseuous for days/week, am aware of lower belly, none of this concerned me, thinking I have a bug.
But shit, the dark area around my nipples (sorry if TMI) the areola? has suddenly got darker and spread!!! Last time I noticed this, I was preggy and well established as well........
Please tell me its something else and that normal hormones can cause this, please...?

it is possible that you are pg

only one way youre ever going to know....

natural hormones dont and cant mimic the pregnancy hormone, because its only made when the baby has implanted into the uterus.so if this was a 'sign' last time...

PEE!

mirena is meant to be more effective than sterilisation, but hey nothing is 100%.
Is it definitely still there?
Maybe test time?
Good luck!

Gess · 28/03/2007 12:34

test time! I remember susanmt did (haven't see her for ages!)

Gess · 28/03/2007 12:35

I don't believe that mirena is more effective than sterilisation (I know they say that- female sterilisaiton rather than male perhaps?)- seen a few mirena failures on here, and never a vasectomy failure.

hoolagirl · 28/03/2007 12:38

My coil is still there.
Just checked
Plausible that I do have a mild bladder infection and a bug then, still cant explain the nips.
Will do test on Friday when I am 'home alone' feck feck feck feck

Figures given 99.9 % as opposed to 99.5% for female sterilisation.
So both close to 100% but not quite!
Male sterilisation failure about 0.1%, not taking into account unplanned pregnancy after sterilisation pre full sperm clear out, this make the overall failure rate fro male sterilisation appear higher.
