Wisdom teeth removed

Hello all. Please be gentle, I am not well.

Had all of my wisdom teeth and some roots/left over tooth removed under GA on Saturday.
All was well until Monday, when I was in so much pain I genuinely wanted to remove my head with rusty cheese wire.

Managed to get an appointment with my lovely dentist on Tuesday morning, where I proceeded to sob like a child and shake and sweat my arse off in the chair - I have an infection.
I don't have dry socket (thank ye lords) but the bastard twatty tooth roots that have been giving me grief for a couple of years were infected when removed - Hence the quickness of the spreading infection.

I have antibiotics and veh decent painkillers.
However my ears are killing me, I'm hot, sweaty and shaky and I haven't been able to force any food down for at least 48 hours - I've lost 9kgs. Strangely the pain is much better and I've not needed to take stronger painkillers today.

I'm in a vicious circle because I need to take the antibiotics with food and I just can't manage it so I've been taking them on an empty stomach. I think this is causing the sickness.

My main issue though is the pus. Oh my god the pus!
My mouth absolutely stinks and tastes like Badger's arseholes, this is also making me feel very sick.
I've been using salt water washes and applying salt soaked cotton pads to the site in an attempt to draw this hideous stuff out.

Any tips wise Mumsnetters?
I'm at the end of my rope here and sick to death of heaving every time I move.

I think I'd talk to the dentist about some anti sickness stuff. Or perhaps your GP, if you can get a face to face or telephone appointment.

Sorry to hear this. I had 1 wisdom tooth out on Tuesday - no infection but I am getting fed up with the sore, prickling feeling, discomfort up to my ear etc.

Have lost 7lbs in 4 days. Hole feels about 7cm wide!

Hope you get on ok.
