Okay so he's 4, but he only had the DTapIP booster, and he is allergic to heaps of stuff and 41 seems pretty high, so I got my mum to call and let them know while I drove back from work.

Nurse just asked why ds had suppositories for his paracetamol when you can get colour free, and said that it was common to have a temp after injections. Glad it was mum on phone because I could have been quite blunt at this point - would she actually think that i would rather stick my finger up his bum unless it was the only way?

So how usual would 41 be?

Yes, had I been talking to the nurse I am afraid I would have pointed out that most of Europe would think nothing of a suppository, and that she should be more culturally sensitive.

41 is very high. Would you get further to talk to NHS direct I wonder? Or your GP? I hope he feels better soon.

He is back to 38.3 now. Discovered the suppositories were not melting inside him - which would explain why he was getting hotter and hotter.
