Do I have shingles?

I've suffered with adult ecxma occasionally over the last 4 years and have a parch of similar rash on my lower back. I had an extremely traumatic week last week and today have noticed a sore bit in my armpit and have a sore throat and have had dirorrhea today. Could it be shingles rather than ecxhma?

When I had shingles recently the main symptom I had was a lot of fluid filled blisters on one side of my back. If you google image search shingles does your rash look like any of those? I felt generally unwell but nothing else specific. It usually stays on one side of the body.

I can't see my rash that well, it's very itchy and right on my back. Seems to be in the middle rather than one side. No blisters but they could come later I guess? I've had a look at lots of pictures but it doesn't look like any of the rash pictures tbh.

For me the most identifying symptom of shingles was an almost sunburn feeling in the area that was affected. Before any blisters/rash appeared for days I had a feeling that I was sunburn and someone was rubbing sandpaper on the area.

Shingles isnt usually itchy. It can be incredible sore though, before I get them my skin is sore to any type of touch even before the rash.

Ah, probably just ecxhma then I reckon. It was only when I noticed the slight ache in my right side and underarm soreness that made me wonder.

I am just getting over the tail end of shingles and mine was/is a rash on my side. It felt like a scratch and was more painful/tingly than itchy, almost like a more painful prickly heat. I wanted to punch people!. I had been feeling run down (and am 33 weeks pg) but Tbh I thought it was just an allergic reaction and asked the pharmacist in Boots for some cream. She took one look and told me to go to the walk in.
If you suspect shingles get it looked at asap as the faster you start medication the better. I had left mine more than 3 days and it was too late for the tablets to help.

I've not had shingles but it's usually blisters across a dermatome so following a line. Often painful/itchy and you can't get it if you haven't had chicken pox.
Not very nice Sad
