Is this conjunctivitis?

Last weekend DS(12) woke with sticky eyes. I showed him to wash his eyes morning and evening with slightly cooled boiled water. It has eased off but still slight stickiness. This morning I woke with sticky eyes. They are very mildly puffy and ever so slightly sore. DS and I don't share towels, face cloths, clothes, bedding etc. We don't even use the same shower/bath. Our laundry is washed in the same washing machine but everything is washed at 60 and I use the laundry disinfecting stuff for every wash.

Is this conjunctivitis or something else? Do we need to see the GP?

I'd see the GP just in case. Never take chances with eyes.

You can go to the pharmacy and they can tell you if you need antibiotics. Don't need a GP. If the eyes are just sticky then bathe them. If the conjunctivae (whites) are getting very inflamed then may need antibiotics but I would bathe for a few days to see if it clears up. Often does

Thank you both. Will keep bathing and see pharmacist tomorrow and go from there.
