I had an epidural with steroids today (about 6 hours ago) to relieve chronic back pain since having dd2 18m ago. The consultant said that I might get a mega headache which I knew about, but also that I might suffer flu-like symptoms over the next 48 hrs.
I feel OKish, like I've had a couple of glasses of wine or something but in the last hour I've started getting a strange feeling in my throat and top of my chest, like my glands are swollen and it hurts to put my chin on my chest. I've looked in the internet for similar side effects but can't find anything. The only thing I can think it is is the flu symptoms he told me about.
I figured lots of MNetters would have had experience of epidurals so thought I'd ask here before I ring the hosp or have to go back up there for no reason. Ta
