Does anyone else do this in their sleep?

I seem to tense all my muscles up whilst asleep Confused sometimes I actually wake myself up because I'm so stiff and aching.

I find myself clenching my jaw/face during the day too, and have to consciously relax myself.

Am I just weird? I suspect it's stress related, can I train myself to relax?

Yes I grind away all night. I was wearing a dental brace but it gave me sores which turned into something nasty. I am now waiting for things to be fitted into my ears - its new and expensive but might work. Have you tried anti-depressants at all?

It's not so much my face at night but my body. I must sleep like a frigging T-Rex.

I have had anti depressants in the past but not for a few years. I don't think I'm depressed - just stressed.

Sorry yes I didn't mean you must be depressed just that ADs can soothe the body .... or beta blockers? Go ask your GP for something to relax you at night so you get a better sleep and wake up pain-free. You could also try relaxation techniques - good luck!
