Chicken pox ...

How can I keep my 1 year old girl from going stir crazy. She was ill last week with lots of high temperatures and this week she has had it confirmed by the dr that she has chicken pox.

We're going to be at my in law's caravan this weekend and I'm trying to think of things I can do with her.

My husband will go and do the food shop. And I was thinking about letting her play on the grass at the side of the caravan. Then maybe nipping to a couple of parks (if they're empty and leaving if someone else arrives).

We were meant to be going for a wander around the town with the in laws but I've said unless all of her spots have scabbed over we won't be doing this.

Is this a bad idea? Or is it actually doable to take her to parks that are more often than not empty?

When my 4 year old had chicken pox a few months ago, after the first few days when her spots were starting to heal and she was feeling less uncomfortable and more like herself, we took her (and ds) out to the duck pond, the local woods and the local park in the evenings when it was still light enough to walk or play but everyone else had gone home. They also spent a lot of time out in the garden.
