Can injections still make a baby miserable 5 days later?

Ds2 (8 months) had his third set of baby injections on Thursday and is still utterly miserable and clingy. Until Sunday he had a high temparature, and was generally unwell. The temperature has gone, but he is really not himself.

Is it still the aftermath of the injections, or has he got yet another bug?

Which vaccinations did he have? I think the different immunizations sometimes have effects at different times, e.g. for MMR, one of the components (mumps?) takes up to 2 or 3 weeks to take effect, whereas the others act sooner, so there is a series of possible grumpy times!

Off the top of my head it was the new 5in1 (used to be DTP?), the Prevanar one (or whatever it is called) and the HibC. On second thoughts, no wonder he is so grumpy with all that in him...

Yes - I think you need to ply him with tlc and calpol. Hope he is better soon!

Thanks.

I'll just go and have a look in my medicine cabinet... Yes, I have calpol, but can't find any TLC in there at all
