Am I regular?

I've been off the pill four cycles now (not ttc). They've been 24,24,26 days and today is cd25 and I'm waiting to come on imminently.

Are you only "regular" if it's exactly the same number of days a month or does "regular" mean within a few days like I've been thus far? Or Am I "irregular" with these fluctuations?

very very few women are bang on the exact number of days. I'd say regular with 2-3 days either side.

unikorn · 23/07/2017 15:37

Really? So many women say "I'm due on X" indicating they're bang on each month.

I say I am due on day 30, but it can vary between 29 and 32 days. It's usually 30 days, though.

soulsearch1ng · 23/07/2017 15:46

that is regular in my books - a variation of 2-3 days is at least my normal.

ForeverHopeful21 · 23/07/2017 16:47

My cycle is different every month, varying from 28 - 35 days. I'm currently seeing a fertility specialist and he said that this counts as a regular period.

He explained that 'irregular' would be skipping periods and extended lengths of time in-between. So I'd say that your cycle sounds completely normal.

Sounds regular to me, I have between about 25 days to 2 days between periods - I would call that irregular!

I hate the knicker checking waiting to start!

Thanks all. This time I started on cd27 so 24-27 days for the past four cycles which I now understand as reasonably regular. At this rate I'll be on on my wedding day though.Sad
