What is this?!

This appeared on my arm around ten days ago and has been getting slightly worse every day. It looks like eczema but I'm 29 and have never suffered from eczema before in my life! Is it possible to just suddenly start like that?

I'm also worried it could be psoriasis as my grandad had it and it does look similar.

What is this?!

I agree, it looks like eczema - you can get it at any age, I was in my teens when I started getting it.

You can get some E45 (I don't get on with it - I don't like the feel of it) or Epaderm (my emollient of choice) from the chemist. Or Aqueous Cream - should be cheaper.

It's a fungal infection. Pretty common. Ask your pharmacist or go to the docs and get a prescription cream (I think it requires a steroid cream but could be wrong).

My DD has this - nothing to worry about.
