Cos this is getting me down, let alone dh (who is only home at weekends as it is).

I am an 'older mum' (mid 40's), and would like to stay on 'the pill' of some sort, partly as a way of keeping things regular until a proper menopause age.

Was changed from a combined pill, which I'd been happy with for years, becos my blood pressure is slightly up, altho Dr says he's not excited about that.

I might go and talk to Dr, but feel a bit embarrassed about discussing my libido face-to-face (whereas sharing it with you lot of faceless people seems fine).

Anyone been here, any advice?

Clumsymum , the pill did that to me as well. A different type may make a difference. I think it flattens out the mid month feeling iykwim
that is partly why I came off the pill , great contraceptive , don't feel like sex on it.

anyone else?

It isn't Cerazette is it? I was put on this after many trouble free years on Marvelon & it killed my libido stone dead. There was another pill years ago, which did the same thing & I went to see my elderly gp about it.It wasn't embarrassing at all & he changed me back to Marvelon.Sadly I can't take Marvelon again now,so dh is going for the snip.

I bravely bought up just this issue with a doctor once - AND there was a trainee too. The both looked pettrified and wrote me a prescription for a different, lower does pill. MAde a slight difference, but tbh, not using pill now as I think all of them put me off shagging - perhaps why the stats are so excellent?!
