"Stitch" like pain in left side

I've had it on and off for a couple of days it came on on weds night

It's above my belly button and to the left of my middle if that makes sense. It is almost a bit like ovulation pain which it's far too high to be and also I'm on my period 😆

It's more uncomfortable than painful so I'm reluctant to see gp. I also had a mild bout of cystitis recently but that resolved with the powder sachets. Obvs if it continues or gets worse I'll go to the gp!

But thought I'd ask on here I'm quite bad for health anxiety so darent google

What I usually tell myself is, 'if it's still there this day next week I'll go to the doc'. And the pain usually goes away and I forget about it. I think these on/off mysterious pains can be muscular and generally disappear within a week...that's just my own experience.
Pains in the left side would be associated with constipation too, and trapped wind.

Thanks Sadie

I'm trying not to stress, there's a possibility it could be a pulled muscle as it came on just after I'd been to Aldi and was lugging a really heavy basket around. (I did that thing where you need one or items so only get a basket but then buy shitloads 🙈)

Otoh it could be a trapped wind thing as I have been farting a bit lot

Hiatal hernia perhaps. Does it feel a bit like something is trapped just under your rib cage? Is it worse after a big meal?

No not really Rogue its same most of the time. Thanks for posting though 🌺

Do you have a temperature?

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 21/07/2017 18:29

No I don't think so. And I feel absolutely fine in myself.

Hopefully it's a pulled muscle. That does sound very likely.

Gallbladder is the other side.

Actually I have now noticed it seems to get worse when I eat or drink Confused

I woke up this morning and thought it had gone but had a glass of water and a coffee and it's back but not as bad as yesterday. Wish it would fuck off whatever it is as it's making my anxiety really bad

I had the feeling of a stitch in my waist and my GP said that if I wasn't vomiting / coughing / having difficulty breathing etc, then it was probably a pulled muscle and would ease in 7 - 10 days.

I didn't recall pulling a muscle and it didn't feel like that type of pain as it wasn't constantly there ...tending to feel worse as the day went on, but low and behold it gradually eased and 7 days later had gone. Turns out she was right!

I went to the walk in centre earlier as I was concerned it was a kidney infection as my mum is prone to them and she said she has the same symptoms when one is coming. They tested my urine and felt my tummy etc and said all was ok. And the doctor said was a pulled muscle/ muscle strain. So I've been lying on my back in the garden all afternoon while dh waits on me hand and foot and Funny enough it's now eased off quite a bit 😆
