Gallbladder problems

I don't know if anyone can help me? I have gallstones and will be having my gallbladder out after I give birth but the problem I have is my poo is very loose not diarrhoea and it burns when passing, has anyone with gallbladder problems had this and is it linked?

Yes, I had it with my gallstone attacks. When the gallbladder contracts rapidly to try and dislodge stones an excess if bile can be released, causing the acid diarrhoea.

I was told to take immodium to stop it and it did work, but would flare up again. Buscopan can also be useful to stop the gallbladder spasms.

I had my gallbladder out just under three weeks ago now and it was absolutely the best thing for me. Obviously you would need to ask what you can and can't take whilst pregnant though.
