Psoriasis on eyelids

Hi

Just wondering if anyone suffers from psoriasis on their eyelids? If so how have you treated it?
My doctor gave me a 1% steroid cream but iv read up that you really shouldn't use steeoid cream on your eyelids because can thin the skin and cause eye problems.
HELP??

I have blephoritis which is similar. I use blephaclean wipes which help a lot

Have you any Exorex or tar-based ointment? Either use that, or dilute a tiny bit of the steroid cream with it.

Use a cotton bud dipped in warm water to clean your eyelashes first, and apply ointment sparingly.

Always use steroid creams very very sparingly, and wean yourself off them slowly, e.g. from every day to every other day, then every week, etc.

Sorry you have this - it's not easy.

Just a suggestion. I thought I had psoriasis on my eyelids when it was actually an allergic reaction - to cotton wool pads of all things (or more specifically the chemical used to bleach the cotton).

If you do use cotton wool it might be worth swapping to muslin cloths or flannels to see if this helps at all. The wipes mentioned are also good and the hydrocortison cream will help whether it is psoriasis or if it's an allergy.
