Got hit by a plate and hand is swoolen WWYD?

NOt as drastic as it sounds!
dd1 passed me a plate and it hitme on the hand at aboit the same spot I caught in the car door last year.Hand is now swollen between finger and thumb (in the V) and is painful.
WWYD?

I would probably wrap a packet of frozen peas in a tea towel and hold it for a while.

Did it a couple of hours ago have had ice on and cold water.Hoping its not broken, don't thinkit is though.

Very swollen today.Went to work but they sent me to the hosp so I spent 4 hours sat at Xray to be told its not broken, just swollen and wait for it to go down !
Can't drive now as it pulls toomuch and can't write as it is my right hand.
