Impacted wisdom tooth has wounded me

Say in bed in tears after trying to be brace for 4/5 days. 2 years ago had impacted wisdom tooth that needed to come out under GA but I was pregnant so was put off, never caused problems after that flare up until late last week where I felt like I had a big ulcer. Then the top right side of my jaw was aching and ulcer type pain was worse today so finally called dentist. She booked me in for next Friday, took it as was better then nothing. By lunch I was in agony so went back and she said the next appointment she could give me was Thursday, fine I'll live till then. By dinner time today I was in agony, blood dripping from my mouth after 1 mouthful of broccoli, I've had a look with DPs head torch And I have a hole (pencil eraser size) in the side of my cheek, presumably from where the tooth is growing sideways and cutting my mouth. I'm sat crying in pain despite taking comedienne and scared shitless I'm going to take up and find the hole is now a tunnel to the outside (it's so painful it's beleiveBle!) so what do I do? The dentist have already told me the soonest they can see me is Thursday, I can't wait another 36 hours in this state Sad

DP is also quite concerned at the depth of this hole but other than a & e he has no suggestions, should I call the dentist first thing or go to a minor injuries place?

Tell your dentist it's an emergency

You could ring again in the morning and say you are in absolute agony and what do they suggest. I had terrible trouble with one wisdom tooth the others I had out under local anasthetic in hospital. I expect the pain is so bad painkillers aren't helping much. I think they should see you. Toothache is awful.

Oh love there is nothing like tooth pain is there? I had an impacted tooth earlier this year and I'd honestly rather be in labour again! I found codeine and nerofen together best, plus ice packs and a lot of swearing until I could get to the dentist Grin

It's not even the tooth that's the worst bit although it really fucking hurts it's the hole it's left me with that is tear inducing. I've maxed out on codeine and it's not touched the sides although I am eyeing up some tramadol I have in the cupboard from my run in with meningitis...
