I recently had a miscarriage (5weeks ago) and my pregnancy tests have still been positive so I was booked in for a scan.
Whilst being scanned it was very uncomfortable (internal vaginal scan) and the sonographer was concerned that although my uterus was empty there appeared to be a 3cm mass on my right hand side.
They continued to monitor me as they suspected an ectopic pregnancy but due to my HCG levels dropping they ruled this out and said it could possibly be a cystic mass which will resolve itself and discharged me.
Now for the past 3 days I have been experiencing a stabbing pain in my rectum and although I have been able to open my bowels it is extremely painful, to the point where I don't want to go to the toilet. Even when walking it feels like a heavy sensation in my rectum.
Could the two possibly be linked and this pain be something to do with the cystic mass?
