Yes . Go to the pharmacy and get the pills for the adults and the syrup for the kids. You'll be fine straight away.

RoganJosh · 17/07/2017 20:02

And then repeat two weeks later. That way you don't really need to keep washing bedding etc.

FirstSnowfall · 17/07/2017 20:04

Sorry to be thick, but what are the signs for knowing you have them? Blush

dementedpixie · 17/07/2017 20:04

It takes a few days for ovex to kick in so it doesn't act immediately.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 17/07/2017 20:08

FirstSnowfall A thickly/itchy bum, usually late at night. (They mostly come at night. Mostly.)

There's a gross but effective way to test: when the sufferer feels tickly, they quickly stick some sellotape to their bum hole and the worms get caught on it!

The worms are TINY. Literally like tiny little white threads, about 0.5cm long.

maudeismyfavouritepony · 17/07/2017 20:09

Itchy bottom, little wriggling worms in your poo First

Multiple infections here. Blush

I find pasting bottom area in sudocrem helps with itching as it's their secretions when laying the eggs that cause the itching.

It is weirdly fascinating to see them but vile at the same time

FirstSnowfall · 17/07/2017 20:23

Eww! The dc have brought home all manner of disgusting illnesses but never that one, yet! I'm sure it's one to look forward to Sad

MrsPringles · 17/07/2017 20:24

Yes as PP said little horrid wriggly worms. The one I spotted was a good cm long I feel very upset about it Envy I can't bring myself to do anything like that with sellotape Confused

DS had them before when he was in nappies so I could see it but is now potty trained so I wouldn't have noticed

DH has just returned with medicine and I will
Commence medicating the household!

My DS had them then we all did Envy

The worst bit was we had him on his back legs up trying to work out why he was so sore then he did a little fart and about 10 came out ... wriggling away
Harrowing
