I recently started taking the pill again after a pregnancy scare. I hadn't been on the pill for five years.
The first month I took it I had light bleeding for 3 weeks. I phoned the nurse and she advised me to do another cycle and see if it settled down.
I have 5 more pills to take this month but on Saturday I started having a "period". It's a little painful ( like a period would be).
My question is, how long until I give up and try another pill? Has anybody else had an experience like this after years of not being on the pill?
Everybody tells me to try a coil but I had a traumatic experience having DD and the thought of having one put in sends me cold.
