I would speak to my GP if I was in your position as this doesn't sound quite right but I'm not medically trained so I don't know

Hi tee , I had the merina coil fitted for heavy bleeding and from other people's accounts I thought I was in for a miracle cure. Unfortunately for me I bled almost constantly for 6 months, not heavy bleeding anymore more a small prolonged bleeding. After 6 months it stopped and now I get very occasional light bleeds. I did go back to the doctor at the hospital who fitted it and was told it would only control bleeding to an acceptable level never stop it completely.

I am glad I persevered as I have had 3.5 years of not much bleeding at all and now I'm down to my last year and will get a replacement next year , which I'm not looking forward to as the strings aren't visible so have been told I'll need a procedure to remove it.
