Post breastfeeding acne

I stopped breastfeeding my youngest about two months ago and since then have suffered from increasingly bad acne initially on my chin and jaw but now on my cheeks as well.

My period returned almost immediately I stopped feeding so I assume it must be hormone related but never had anything like this with my first. Did have acne as a teen and in my early twenties but, honestly, I'm 33 and it's getting me down.

Anyone got any tips / advice? Feels a tad ridiculous to be trying to deal with both wrinkles and acne at the same time. I'm not (yet) back on birth control so would value thoughts on which types have been helpful for people in regards to their skin...

Thanks.

Urgh, mine went awful. I've suffered with my skin for so long and the best thing I've ever used is Proactiv from America. The British/European one isn't the same and has completely different ingredients. I get mine from eBay from American sellers.
I don't take birth control anymore but was on Yasmin for my skin before I had kids and it really, really helped.
Good luck
