hello any dentists about?

i had a big molar extracted on wednesday.huge socket so he used gauze and gave me some spare in case original gauze fell out or bleeding started.

i have followed advice sheet but it doesn't say anything re gauze so i have not used new stuff as there has been no bleeding.

i am not sure that the old gauze has come out though - tried ringing dentist but they closed at 4pm.

any thoughts?

Hello! If the bleeding has stopped, you don't need any new gauze so don't worry about that. Are you confused because you're not sure whether the old one is still there? Have a very gentle feel and if it is, remove it... it shouldn't be there anymore. You'll be fine to drink hot drinks etc now but take it easy.
