Knee problems

Have recently starting doing light exercises in my home. Nothing too strenuous. Leg lifts and 'bingo wings ' type ones.
It's now v v painful to climb stairs on my knee joint ,( right one ) and sometimes if I move / put pressure on it.
Wondering whether to try book sports injury massage or ring docs Monday? Wwyd

I had this in both knees when I started trying to get fit. Basic principle is that I needed to strengthen my knee muscles without straining the knee. I suggest that you see a Physio to get good exercise advice that will not exacerbate the problem.
